Got some time to catch up on a few odd jobs that needed attention on shirl.
1. Replace accelerator linkage
New one is on the left.

While removing the four screws that hold the linkage in place one of the screw heads broke off and I had to drill it out and replace it with a small nut-and-bolt.

Apart from the broken screw replacing the accelerator linkage is (should be) a simply process.

All Done

2. Install new CD Player
I picked up a Pioneer CD Player and two speakers from Strathfield Car Radio for $189 which was half price. It was an easy fit and wire up. If you remove the screws holding the fuse box in place you will find a bunch of free spaces to plug the wires for the radio onto.
My dash already had a hole cut into it which was just made for the Pioneer head unit.

3. Fitted new blue curtains
We had new curtains for Shirl made, I put them in and I think they look great.

After

Time well spent

Are you British? the sliding door seems on the wrong side (joking, no wrong side! & I love vintage british automobiles) maybe the photo is reversed. Some combis were equiped with two sliding doors (special order only, on those days)
